Overview
This park is located in San Pedro del Pinatar and is the most important wetland of the province Murcia. It is part of the Man Menor which is Europes largest saltwater lagoon. This is an extremely important reserve for birdlife, particularly for flamingos who flock here at the end of summer. The park has an area of about 2250 Hectares.
Walking
Most of the park is off-limits to the public, although the parts that are have wonderful pine forests, dunes and sandy beaches.
Sightseeing
The Mota de la Calcetera near Lo Pagan beach is famous for its therapeutic mud due to its iodine and salt concentrations.
