Laguna de Tíscar Natural Reserve

 

Overview
The Laguna de Tíscar Natural Reserve is a seasonal saline wetland located in the southern Cordoba province.  It covers an area of 190ha and is an important feeding and breeding area for many bird species.  Particularly ducks during wintertime.

Animals/Birds
The lake is visited by many duck species including shovelers, mallards and wigeons.

Plants
Tamarisk is the predominant vegetation.  It is also home to reeds, cattails and rushes.
