Overview
Laguna del Rincón is a inland saline lake.  It is located in the Cordoba province.  The total protected area including the lake and its surrounds covers 138ha.  It is an important feeding and breeding site for many bird species.

Animals/Birds
The lake provides an important refuge to the rare white-headed ducks and many others including red-crested pochards, purple gallinules, grebes, coots, and moorhens.

Plants
The predominant vegetation is tamarisk and reedbeds with some different species of rushes including bulrush and hard rushes.  Away from the edges of the lake you’ll see olive groves and vineyards.
