Laguna Honda Natural Reserve

Overview
The Laguna Honda is a seasonal saltwater lake which is protected along with approx. 200ha around the lake.

Walking
The lake is seasonal and tends to dry up in summer.  There is a footpath/cycleway which links the lakes Honda and Chinche called the Green Road of the Olive Oil.

Animals/Birds
The lake is used migrating and non-migrating waterfowl.  These include mallards, coots and purple gallinules.  White-headed ducks are most commonly sited here.

Plants
The predominant vegetation around the lake is tamarisk, reedbeds and bulrushes.
